Some of my friends in our ward are putting on a baby shower for me. I just got the evite today and laughed really hard at what it said. I thought i would share.
Sung to the tune of My Favorite Things
Bottles with nipples and blankets and binkies
Diapers and wipees to clean up the stinkies
Changing pad, diaper bag, cold teething rings
These are some essential new mommy things
Nursing bra, nursing pads, poncho for nursing
Breast pump and nipple cream to keep you from cursing
Nail clippers, lotions and powders and creams
These are some essential new mommy things
Come and join us at the shower
Amber's friends who care
We'll each give our favorite new mommy thing
And then she will be prepared.
(...and she won't be so...scared)
Isn't that hilarious!!!....i'm not sure who wrote it but definately very very funny.

Q'Ori's Cooking Adventure
I've been thinking about things I can do to keep Q'Ori busy during the day. Since she is always wanting to cook. We have started cooking together. The following pictures are a diary of our latest adventures in bread making.

Ok....it has been a while. This was taken about 2 weeks ago. And i am a bit bigger than that now. My midwife measured my stomach from pelvic bone to top of uterus and it is 32.5 cm. So he is getting big cause i am not quite 32 weeks. Maybe i should lay off the brownies:).anyway things are going great here. I got to spend last week at the UN lobbying for pro-life and family rights. It was the Conference on the Status of Women. So you had a lot of people pushing their lesbian feminist agendas and we were trying to counteract it by lobbying for family and pro-life stuff. Since i was the only very obviously pregnant person in the whole building, most of the pro-life people would come up to me and say "bless you" while touching my belly. The people from planned parenthood and some of the othere pro-choice coalitions just stared at me like i was an anamaly to be having a baby. I just smiled at them and kept walking by.
Very very interesting stuff. I also got to watch delegates from the whole world negotiate in this conference. That was pretty cool. I definately learned some very interesting things. Unfortunately for us the US delegates were not supporting language that would keep the integrity of familyintact. The US delegates were pushing for "various forms of the family" rights (aka: gay and lesbian marriage) even though Obama has come out and stated he doesn't support Gay Marriage. We approached our US delegate with some of these statements obama had publically made (trying to counteract what she was saying in the negotiations and she implied that she knows what she is negotiating and that she was supposed to take the document back with her with language in it supporting gay marriage. she didn't say it so blatantly but her implications were very clear. So it looks as though our Dear President is saying one thing to the public and pushing his agenda under the table. But are we really suprised?
After such an adventurous week it will be boring to go back to my normal routine:)
