Baby is Alive

So today we got to hear our baby's heartbeat. It was really cool. When she put the doppler on my stomach the baby was right at the surface and she picked up the heartbeat instantly. The Midwife was really suprised. We then grabbed the camera but when she went to find the heartbeat again the baby had moved. I guess the doppler can be a bit noisy for them and so he moved. But at the end of the video you can hear his heartbeat faintly. Totally Cool. And makes it seem so much more real.

guess what everyone i am going to the temple and getting my endowments i am so excited i can't wait

Baby Shower

Congratulations Rae. You are starting a very exciting journey. I wish I could be there with you, However, I know you will have a loving family around you as you enter the temple. And when I come out we will go together. and maybe the rest of the fam can join us!!

Q'Orianka's 2nd B-Day Party

We went up to visit Luis's family for his mom and sister's birthday. While we were there they decided to have party for Q'Orianka. Until she opened the presents she had no idea what was going on and she was really tired, so she didn't smile much.

We took this video last night after the midwife left. Next time I need to record how excited Q'Orianka gets when she hears the baby's heart beat. She likes to help the midwife move the doppler around my belly.

The News is Out

Well this weekend Corey and I headed down to Philladelphia for his cousins Baby Blessing. While we were there we told Corey's Parents that we were expecting. It was funny actually. We were all downtown Philly at Independence Hall and looking around and Corey told everyone he wanted to take a picture with all of us in front of the building. The first picture was taken with us all saying "cheese" but for the 2nd picture corey said "everybody ready.....Say "Amber's Pregnant' " Well Kara just made an excited noise of shock and Melanie said.....Is he telling the truth? and Terry looked quizical and missed it all and said "what did he say". Needless to say I was laughing at the reaction and disbelief. but they were all very excited and Melanie is very excited because i am only 2 weeks behind her. But they are very excited. We then came home sunday night with Corey's Grandparents and Aunt & Uncle to visit NY before they head home Wednesday morning. And so we told them this evening. Grandma Bjarnson is very excited. It will be her 7th Great Grandbaby. So the news is out. (except in my ward. I don't want them knowing yet)
Today Grandma Bjarnson and I went to Serendipity (the same place as the movie "Serendipity") and had these amazing 'Frozen Hot Chocolates'. They are pretty famous and delicious. It was fun. Corey traded all day while the market rallied 937 points and made history and kept Grandpa Bjarnson company. It has been a busy weekend for sure.

WOW!!!!!

Miracle on 43rd street, or should I say, on 96th street has happened. Boy was I slow to pick up on Ambers stork. I still have not recovered from knowing Amber is "with child" and she and Cory are going to be proud parents of triplets (you shoot for three and at least you always get one). Congratulations. So I guess this will be the first out of a dozen (same theory as above, you shoot for 12 and you at least get 4). This goes to show that great things can happen even while the stock market and the economy crashes all around. Evidently Amber and Cory were playing the right "spread" in their "stock portfolio" and came out a big winner. Remember that "spread" for future use.
