Mary Poppins

Hello Everyone,

This week a friend asked me if i wanted to go see Mary Poppins on Broadway. She got the tickets from some people who came into town and weren't able to use them and they gave them to her. We had amazing seats. It was a great play a bit different from the movie and a slight bit darker but nonetheless wonderful. The scenery was beautiful. I don't know how they did it. Cause they had it set up with the Victorian house and the attic room (kids nursery) came down from the ceiling and Mary Poppins floated through the audience to a point in the ceiling somewhere right in front of the balcony. It was spectacular. It is really the only disney broadway that looked good. I think her 7 year old daughter was a bit overwhelmed with it all though.

Thanksgiving 2008 in NYC

Here is our Thanksgiving Picture. We spent it with friends and their kids. Their Kids are off playing. But the Couple on the left is Kassie and Cannon, (She is the doula friend of mine who has hooked me up with our midwife and everything. She is great) Then Left of Corey is Genevive (a convert to the church about 1 1/2 years ago) then Corey and Right of Corey is Victoria a really cool woman in our ward. We had a great Thanksgiving and then played games and chatted till almost 11pm

Name Change

We changed the baby's name from Zisary to Suri. Suri Sloan Palomino. It really fits her much better, more simple.

A New Addition to the Family

Aprill had her baby this morning or afternoonish. Not sure any of the details but she is healthy and happy. Here is a picture of New Baby (she hasn't been named yet) at 5 minutes old.

Fall in NYC

Our friend Melanie took this picture (and many more which i will post later) of Corey and I in the Park last Saturday morning. She had been walking around and saw this area in the park the had the most exquisit colors and so we got up early Saturday so the lighting was good. It was breathtaking. And it makes a good family photo before we have some additions:)

Baby is Alive

So today we got to hear our baby's heartbeat. It was really cool. When she put the doppler on my stomach the baby was right at the surface and she picked up the heartbeat instantly. The Midwife was really suprised. We then grabbed the camera but when she went to find the heartbeat again the baby had moved. I guess the doppler can be a bit noisy for them and so he moved. But at the end of the video you can hear his heartbeat faintly. Totally Cool. And makes it seem so much more real.

guess what everyone i am going to the temple and getting my endowments i am so excited i can't wait

Baby Shower

Congratulations Rae. You are starting a very exciting journey. I wish I could be there with you, However, I know you will have a loving family around you as you enter the temple. And when I come out we will go together. and maybe the rest of the fam can join us!!

Q'Orianka's 2nd B-Day Party

We went up to visit Luis's family for his mom and sister's birthday. While we were there they decided to have party for Q'Orianka. Until she opened the presents she had no idea what was going on and she was really tired, so she didn't smile much.

We took this video last night after the midwife left. Next time I need to record how excited Q'Orianka gets when she hears the baby's heart beat. She likes to help the midwife move the doppler around my belly.
